Bird Cherry (Prunus pads)
Produces fruit that is eaten by song thrushes and blackbirds.
- The Bird Cherry is native to northern Europe and northern Asia, and is one of only two native cherries in the UK.
- The Bird Cherry tree produces white, strong smelling flowers. The flowers are hermaphroditic, meaning each contains both mail and female reproductive elements.
- The tree is used as a food source by caterpillars.
