Can I make a booking online?
Yes. Follow this link to our booking page, below. You can also create an account making it easier when you book again.
We accept all major debit and credit cards.

Will Flax Mill construction affect my stay?
The historic Flax Mill at the centre of Silverburn Park is currently undergoing construction work to turn it in to a state of the art visitor centre and accomodation. While all attempts will be made to keep any disruption there will be some construction related noise as well as work vehicles on site from 7am-5pm Monday-Friday.

Where is your main office/reception?
Reception is located at No.3 Silverburn Cottage, next to The Cottage Window Cafe (What3Words = ///campus.stuffy.urge).
Please remember there is no need to check-in, simply follow the instructions on your pre-arrival email. Staff will be on site from 9:30am to 4:30pm everyday so if you do need anything please ring the doorbell.

What are your check-in & check-out times?
We now offer a contactless check-in system for all guests. Before arrival, you’ll receive an email with all the information you need, including directions, pitch or pod details, site information, and how to access the facilities. On arrival, simply follow the instructions in your confirmation email and head straight to your pitch or accommodation—there’s no need to check in at reception. Staff will still be available on-site if you need any assistance during your stay.
Check-in is from 2pm for Eco-Pods & 1pm for Campervans & Tents.
Check-out is 10am for Eco-Pods, and 12 noon for Campervans & Tents.

Is the campsite staffed 24 hours?
No, staff are here from 9am to 4:30pm, but we provide access by emergency telephone to a member of staff 24/7.

Do you have shower facilities?
Yes, we have brand new toilet & shower facilities on site with 3 separate units including one disabled accessible.
Please note, these are a short 2 minute walk from the Campervan pitches.

Can we park on our pitch?
Not right now. We are currently waiting on a license agreement to establish car-parking at tent pitches. For now we ask all guests to unload at their pitch then park in our car-park.

Do you accept roof-tents/trailer-tents?
Yes we do. We ask you book a campervan pitch for these typs of vehicles as there is no vehicles permitted on the tent pitches.

Is there WiFi available?
No, sorry there is no WiFi service provided at the site. 4G mobile signal is generally good but some networks may experience issues.

Can we invite guests during the day?
Silverburn Campsite and the wider Park is intended as a place for guests & the local community alike to relax and enjoy nature. To avoid over-crowding and noise each booking can have a maximum of 2 guests to visit during the day. All non-campsite residents should leave by 10pm.

Can we play music on site?
You can play music but we ask that you keep it low in order to respect your neighbours. There should be NO MUSIC at all during quiet hours; 10pm onwards.

Do you have entertainment?
No. We're not a holiday park, our aim is to provide a space where you can enjoy the view and nature at its best. Occasionally we have events based in the park and will advertise these through our website and social media pages.

Is the campsite accessible for people with restricted mobility?
We are working towards making the campsite fully accessible. We have one wheelchair-accessible pod, Broc, and our toilet and shower block has a wheelchair-accessible unit plus a wheelchair-friendly ramp. There is no vehicular access within the campsite perimeter, but we do have one disabled parking space just next to the main campsite gate, around 20m from the wheelchair-friendly pod. We are still working on making the main campsite path wheelchair-friendly so please bear with us while we get this done. Please contact us if you require any additional information - 01333 422418.

Can I arrive without a booking after hours?
Campervans and tent campers are welcome to turn up after 4pm and see if we have any availability - we display this each evening from 4pm on the front door of reception at Cottage No 3 in the park – but obviously there are no guarantees! If you do take a pitch, please make payment in the morning at reception. Our eco-pods must be booked in advance.
Eco Pod Questions

How many people can each pod sleep?
Our pods can sleep up to four people. Each pod has 1 standard double bed & 1 small fold out sofa (1.7m x 1m) - suitable for 1 adult or 2 small children under 11 years old.

What is included in the pod / What do I need to bring?
Our original Eco pods (Broc, Dobhran & Sionnach) are equipped with:
- Double bed
- Sofa bed
- Kettle
- Microwave
- Mini fridge
- Brand new wall-mounted heater
- 2 wall-mounted reading lights
You will need to bring everything else, including your own crockery and cutlery, towels & bedding. Think camping but without having to pack (or pitch) the tent!
Our New Luxury Pod Feidh has everything listed above as well as:
- Kitchen sink & basin
- 2-Ring cooker
- Cutlery & Crockery
- Basic cleaning supplies
- Small table & chairs

Can we bring our dog?
Yes, all of our pods are now dog-friendly!
Please note: There is a £10 fee to bring your dog(s) which must be selected in "add-ons" when booking.

Do you offer bedding?
No, sorry, not at this time. All pods will have a mattress protector, but you should bring your own bedding and pillows.

Can I park my car next to our pod?
No, sorry - cars are not permitted on the camping ground but you are welcome to unload at the 'Eco-Pod Drop Off' area marked on the campsite map, and then return your car to the main car park.

How many eco pods do you have?
We currently have 4 Eco Pods, including our newest luxury pod Feidh, which has it's own en-suite facilities. You can have a look HERE.

Are your eco-pods wheelchair-accessible?
One of our pods, Broc, is wheelchair-accessible; it is slightly wider overall and has a wheelchair-friendly ramp for access. There is no vehicle access inside the campsite perimeter, but we do have one space for disabled parking next to the main gate, about 20 metres from the pod. Please be aware that we are still working on making the main path through the campsite wheelchair-friendly - we hope to have this done very soon.

Can I smoke in the eco-pods?
No. Smoking, candles and any naked flames are prohibited in the pods.
Campervan & Motorhome Questions

How many pitches do you have?
We have four pitches for campervans each with electric hook-up as standard. Our pitches are gravel standing surrounded by grass.

What is the maximum size of vehicle you can take?
All of our pitches have a maximum wheel-base of 6.5m. Pitches 1 & 3 have a maximum overall length of 7.5m while pitches 2 & 4 are 8.5m.

Can we bring our touring caravan?
No, sorry - we do not hold a licence to have caravans on our site.

Do you accept cars with roof tents?
Yes we do, only on our Campervan Pitches :)

Are there toilets in the campervan area?
No. Please be aware before booking that the toilets are a short walk (approx 100m) on the other side of the flax mill site, next to our glamping pods and tent pitches.

Do you have facilities to dispose of waste water?
Yes, we offer black and grey water disposal facilities, although please note we do not have a driveover facility.

Can we put up our awning?
Yes! There is plenty of space for awnings. We would ask that you only use space on one side of your vehicle however, to ensure you are not encroaching too much on neighbours.

Can I empty chemical waste without a booking?
Yes you can, we charge £10 for this service. Just pop to reception when you arrive at the site and staff will direct you where to go.
Camping Questions

What size are your tent pitches?
Our tent pitches are 6x8m and electric pitches are 6x6m, they all run adjacent to one another. If your tent and ropes cannot fit within these parameters, you are required to book two pitches adjacent to one another please. To do this, please enter your booking for one pitch, then you will be asked if you wish to make another booking. Simply click 'yes' and you can add the second pitch.

Do you have pitches with electrical hook-up?
Yes, we have electric hook-up points available for tent pitches 1-4. Cables are not supplied.

Can I park my car next to my pitch?
Currently no, but we are working on this. You may unload at your pitch but then you must return your vehicle to the car park.

Can I have a BBQ at my pitch?
Yes, we don't mind, as long as you don't damage our grass so please make sure to keep your disposable BBQ's raised off the ground.

Can I bring my dog?
Yes, we are a dog friendly site. Just be sure to pick up after them :)

Can I pitch more than one tent on my pitch?
No, sorry, our policy is one tent per pitch, to help avoid large groups and overcrowding. Please book adjacent pitches if you are coming with friends.
To do this, first check availability for two adjacent pitch numbers. Then book the first pitch in the system; just before you come to the payment stage you will be asked if you'd like to make another booking. Simply click 'yes' here and add your second pitch into the booking. Please give us a call on 01333 422418 if you experience any problems.
